Miracle Myx Wails

.
"Call me Ishmael," Myx said.

"You gonna start?" I said.

"Who's the fish?"

"Now, now--be nice. We've learned about things with blow holes, haven't we?" I asked.

I was referring to the fact we in New England would jab at the Miami Dolphins football team when the Patriots would play them. We would spout the slogan "Squish The Fish!"

"I know it's a mammal, but why is it here?"

"Myx, WHALE SONG is a fine book written by my friend, Cheryl Kaye Tardif--and don't you dare start about people with 3 names!"

"Why the bear, Dave?" Myx asked with a tone that made me uneasy.

I knew Myx was the jealous type; he didn't even like it when I was in a photo with him. He wanted the spotlight all to himself.

"Errr ... I thought it best to separate you two, just in case--"

"Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee."

"You're quoting Captain Ahab from MOBY DICK. Isn't that a bit extreme?"

Myx countered with: "If you and I are Moby Dick, and I'm a Moby--what are you?"

"That makes me a ... hey, wait a second!"

You are SOOO creative, Dave. I love reading your posts. So.....I suppose Courage in Patience has to be released in order to visit Myx?
By the way, Myx is a teenage boy...and my protagonist, Ashley is a teenage girl...
do I smell romance in the air?

Given the situation, I can 'sea' that Myx has a rather 'dry' sense of humor.

Nice Blog Dave!

HAHAHA...your posts always crack me up. It's nice to know that Myx will share his teddy bear with Whale Song. :)

Thanks for featuring my novel on your very creative and unique blog. I'll have to go blog about that now! ;)
